The Children Betrayed

Father knows best
so he poisons the future
Cracks open the earth
till the sky falls in
Denigrates the science
for economic slavery
But everything dies
if earth stops breathing

Father knows best
when the kids were betrayed
Kept the factories burning
choked the wind blinded solar
Regression in a luddite rage
Aged without wisdom
is the worst of humanity
before what comes tomorrow
for our children’s children

And I before I forget

Did the kids get a vote
when politics made the choice?
When was madness the default
in seemingly good people?
